Employment!

I am finally employed! I work at Samhain Publishing, in the Fickling building downtown. I'm currently only a temp, but its still the best job I've ever had. I make $8/hr and its tax free until I get $600, at which I get to fill out an I-9, however my employer has suggested that somewhere around $595, I'll get put on the payroll, where taxes will start being taken out as normal. I don't know why they want to give me 600 tax free dollars, but I'm in no mood to argue with them.

My job consists of listening to music, IMing my boss, who is also a good friend of mine, taking paid breaks, and doing menial tasks on the computer at my desk. I spent the day today renaming files. It's tedious, but I don't even remember doing it. I was watching videos on Hulu all day. For $8 per hour.

Yeah, newspapers just started to suck recently.

I just love old racism that was considered perfectly normal for the time. This story from the new york times is one of the best I've seen. Its perfect in every way.

Apparently, swine flu insanity isn't just limited tot he countries affected. Madagascar literally shut themselves off from the rest of the world. Afghanistan took the country's ONLY PIG and quarantined him. Am I the only one who thinks that every bit of this is retarded?
